The Center for Lifelong Learning in Suðurnes was founded on December 10, 1997. The establishment of the Center was a major increase in education in the southern part of Iceland. As a result, public access to courses became more and increased scope created for continuing education. During the years in which the Center for Lifelong Learning in the Sudurnes has been operating, the activity has grown steadily and the study offerers take into account the needs of the clients each time.

The central role of lifelong learning in the Sudurnes is to promote the continuing education and retraining, to increase the education and quality of life of the inhabitants of the area, thereby enhancing individuals and working life.

The Center is committed to providing counseling and personal services as well as an environment for learning where people feel comfortable.

Innovation Workshop about 'Targeting new users'

The fourth and final workshop took place in Reykjanesbaer, Iceland. This time the partners worked with the final theme which were 'Targeting new users' and started focusing on what they all had learned throughout the project.
